A lot goes on behind the scenes in an orchestra! Of course, an orchestra is all about the musicians and the conductor but what a lot of people don't understand is that there are a myriad of other tasks that need to happen before a concert can take place.
As well as organising our concerts, at Suffolk Philharmonic we have a programme of community and education outreach that is entirely run by our volunteers.

Community Outreach Organiser
Are you organised and efficient? Do you want to be part of a dynamic team of dedicated volunteers?
We're looking for an outgoing person who loves meeting people and would enjoy organising our programme of community outreach. This might be arranging a free concert in a village hall for people who would never otherwise get to hear classical music, or setting up a workshop in a school to enthuse and encourage children. You would work alongside our conductor, Leslie Olive, and would be an important member of our team.
